Violinist With Magpies

I love the boldness of Magpies which are very prevalent in my new home in Montana. They are often called “camp robbers” which I witness in my bird sanctuary. They are the first to come each morning and recently I found a cached peanut in my garden shoe with a small leaf over it–a sign of a clever bird. One will also see I am very drawn to violins. When I paint a violin, I feel as if I am playing music. I chose the Tamarack Pine because of the unique quality of it’s needles turning color to a golden rust just before dropping for winter.
