Dancing Crow

Can you see by this painting how much I love crows? While living in Seattle, my black Lab and I would feed the crows peanuts as we did our daily walks. It became my source of connection to nature. One day I forgot to grab peanuts and got a peck on the head by a neighborhood crow. What I learned is that crows are very social, live in extended families and make sounds that resonate within their families. Eventually, when I would leave my house, the crows would send their call and soon, I was surrounded by many crows. Crows are considered a highly intelligent bird and are often referred to as feathered apes.
